オーガニックコットンへのこだわり
一般的にコットンを育てるには害虫駆除などの農薬が使われ、さらに製品加工の段階でも多くの薬品が使用されます。そのため、土壌汚染をはじめとした地球環境への悪影響が懸念されています。グリーンコットンでは、農薬や枯葉剤・殺虫剤を一切使用しない原料を厳選し、防縮加工の際にも塩素などの化学物質を使用しない環境に配慮しています。
GOTS認証とは
GOTS規格（Global Organic Textile Standard）は、オーガニック繊維製品の世界基準です。素材そのものがオーガニック認証を受けていること、染色、編地、縫製など全ての工程で環境への配慮が徹底されていることを意味します。GOTSは現在市場に出回っている中で最も厳しい表示制度であり、品質保証だけではなく、洋服づくりに関与する人々の労働条件を改善する社会的基準も含まれています。

Our Commitment to Organic Cotton
Conventional cotton farming typically relies on pesticides for pest control, and additional chemicals are used during product processing, raising concerns about soil contamination and broader environmental harm. At Green Cotton, we carefully source raw materials grown without pesticides, defoliants, or insecticides, and avoid chlorine and other chemicals throughout all finishing processes, including shrink-proofing.
What is GOTS Certification?
The GOTS standard (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the global benchmark for organic textile products. It ensures that the raw materials are organically certified and that rigorous environmental standards are upheld at every stage of production — including dyeing, knitting, and sewing. GOTS is one of the most rigorous certification systems available, covering not only product quality but also social standards designed to improve working conditions for all those involved in garment production.
